Question

What do attorneys fees include when buying a house?

Answer

The attorneys (also known as “conveyancing attorney) fees” include:

  • Property transfer cost (the fees for transferring the property from the seller’s name to yours).
  • Deeds office registration fees.
  • Post, petties, FICA, and other fees.

The attorney is hired by the property seller but paid by the buyer.

Their fees increase according to the value of the home.

You can find out what you’re likely to pay the attorney using our Transfer Cost Calculator.

Before you need to concern yourself with transfer costs, you first need to secure a home loan. O-YES Home Loans can help by submitting your home loan application to multiple banks, allowing you to compare deals and choose the one with the lowest interest rates.

We also offer a range of tools that can make the home-buying process easier.  Start with our Bond Calculator, then use our Affordability Calculator to determine what you can afford. Finally, when ready, you can apply for a home loan.
